Finding Your Purpose
A man without a vision is a man who simply exists, but does not live
Going about life and seeing others live their lives and feeling at a standstill can all be changed once you change your perception and discover the true you. There are ways to increase your creativity and bring forth innovative ideas towards a happier living.
One way towards building a better you and living up to your full potential is meditation. Meditation is the act of spending time in deep thoughts or long periods of relaxation and reflection. There are multiple ways to partake, including these few general types:
Focuses Attention Meditation
  • Attention on a single object such as your breathing or an external object during your meditation. This develops depth and control in your attention.
Effortless Presence/ Choice-less Awareness
  • Attention is more introverted and focused on self, which can be considered the true purpose behind all kinds of meditation.
Buddhist Meditation
  • Typically done in lotus position or sitting on a chair with a focus attention method. Your eyes are kept down looking towards the floor and your back is to be kept straight.
Christian Meditation
  • Focuses on moral purification and deeper understanding of the Bible. This typically involves prayer, reading or silence meditation with an effortless presence approach.
One of the key factors of meditation that contributes to a healthier and fit lifestyle is the production of increased activity in Gamma Brainwaves.
In the post “The Marvelous Properties of Gamma Brainwaves” through OmHarmonics, “High gamma activity also corresponds to a state of peak performance. Elite athletes, top-notch musicians and high achievers in all fields produce far more gamma waves than average.”
Long-term meditation improves the ability to enhance gamma waves in the brain. Through meditation, we can have a clear perception of who we desire to become. Ultimately, it is up to you to create your personal vision and walk in that purpose.
