Fresh & Fruity Detox Smoothie
Cilantro helps detoxify heavy metals from the body by binding to and loosening toxins from tissues. It also contains two specific compounds which possess anti-inflammatory qualities.
Limes can be a great flavor substitute for lemons giving your smoothie a fresh, tangy taste. Like lemons, limes offer alkalizing, detoxifying benefits and have a similar nutritional profile (aside from being slightly lower vitamin C compared to lemons).
● 3/4 Cup water
● Juice of 1 lime
● 1 Cup leafy greens
● 1 Cup dandelion greens
● 3/4 Cup of frozen pineapple
● 1/2 Cucumber
● 1/2 Avocado
● 1/4 Cup of cilantro
● 1/2 Inch fresh peeled ginger root
● Pinch ground turmeric root
● 3 grounds fresh black pepper
● Optional: FITTEAM LEAN Protein
Place everything in a high-power blender & blend well. Add more (or less) water as needed to desired consistency.
